For many reasons, this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans really felt like it was a “Must Win” for Corvette Racing, who hadn’t seen the winner’s circle at the race since 2015. With the first mid-engine Corvette C8.R racer headed to retirement at the end of the season, the team really wanted to send it out with a bang. And what a bang it was, considering how they battled back from a near-insurmountable two-lap deficit early in the race to take the LMGTE-Am class win. It was the ninth class win for Corvette Racing and this really was a win for the ages!

Don’t you hate it when you see a preview for an awesome-looking show and it ends with “Season 3 Coming Soon?” Unless we’re talking about a cultural phenomenon like The Last of Us, Yellowstone, or Stranger Things, “Where the heck was I for the first two seasons!?” is a strangely familiar thought to have in a decade where network TV is still fighting to stay relevant, Netflix is dumping $17 billion annually into its original programming bloat, and the dozen-or-so other streaming services are all out there with their own content jockeying for market share. We’re living in a golden era of television, but it’s never been easier for quality shows to get lost in the shuffle.

[VIDEO] Ron Fellows Sets the Production Car Lap Record at CTMP in the 2023 Corvette Z06

The 2023 Corvette Z06 is ready to show what it can do when in the hands of a master.

Corvette Hall of Famer Ron Fellows had the opportunity to turn some hot laps at his home track aka Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (CTMP) with the new 2023 Corvette Z06 featuring the Z07 Performance Package and Carbon aero. When it was all said and done, the Corvette Racing Ambassador and the Z06 set a lap record for a production car with a time of 1:22.12. For some context, that’s 4 seconds quicker than his lap time of 1:26.899 in the C7Z.
