Chevrolet surprised us by dropping the 2024 Corvette Order Guide on Friday evening instead of Monday when it was planned. Our original post late Friday night mostly dealt with what is new for the model year. If you haven’t seen the Order Guide yet, you can View and Download here.

Some of the new content that was unknown before the Order Guide dropped includes a Tech Bronze Accent Package for Stingray and Z06, new two-post spoiler in visible carbon fiber for Stingray, Z06 base spoiler extensions, and new interior sill plates just to name a few.

Once we got the “What’s New for 2024” out of the way, we’ve had some time to go through Order Guide and while it’s not a long list, we did find some additional updates for 2024 worthy of pointing out.

One of the biggest moves in our opinion was Chevrolet no longer requiring the J57 Carbon Ceramic Brakes for Corvette Z06 buyers who want the Z07 style aero (T0F or T0G) without ordering Z07. Dropping that requirement offers buyers a savings of $8,495! You will still need the J57 brakes for adding the Carbon Fiber wheels, and it would also be nice if GM made the CCBs optional for the Z07 package as many races prefer the steel brakes and the maintenance/replacement costs are much more reasonable.

Corvette E-Ray buyers who want the painted or visible Carbon Fiber wheels are no longer forced to get the ZER package. If you want the visible carbon fiber wheels, we think that means the wheels are then wrapped in the standard All-Season Michelins instead of the Summer-only performance tires.

The Rear Camera Mirror (DRZ) is now available for the 1LT/1LZ Coupes. Before it was reserved for 2LT/3LT on the Coupes, but still standard for the Convertibles due to the fold down top.

That’s what we’ve got for you as of now. We’ve been thru the guide multiple times and perhaps something else may come to mind, so stay tuned as next Monday, Chevrolet is expected to launch the pricing and Build Your Own configurator for the 2024 models.

  1. Rearview Mirror Camera ( DRZ ) is not “available”. It is standard for ALL 2024 Corvettes. 🙂

  2. If steel rotors are perfered by race track drivers why would anyone want them? Just to look cool like most carbon fiber options?

  3. What about the carbon flash painted trim on the E-Ray like the Cacti colored E-Ray shown? And why not kick in a central exhaust option? Never happen…on the exhaust anyway…too close to the Z06.
