The first customer team for the new Corvette Z06 GT3.R was just announced. Corvette Z06 GT3.R Program Manager Christie Bagne has confirmed that TF Sport will be switching from Aston Martin to Corvette for the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship and will be competing with two new Z06 GT3.Rs in the new LMGT3 class.
Though Chevy has yet to even confirm the existence of a C8 ZR1, that hasn’t kept the internet from exploding about the next-level-up Corvette that’s almost certainly on the horizon.
For instance, GM Authority says in an exclusive report that the 2025 ZR1 will feature Active Fuel Management, or AFM.

During this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, Pratt Miller Motorsports ran an “alternative broadcast” that featured crew members discussing the race and at various times, special guests appeared on the broadcast to give their takes. One such special guest was former Corvette Racing program manager Doug Fehan.
When the mid-engine Corvettes were being developed, engineers paid as much attention to the air flowing under the car as they did over it. That’s why Chevy included the close-out panels on the bottom of the car to make it flat as possible to ensure that air flow was controlled and wasn’t being impacted by the chassis components under the car. The Z07 took that even further by including the underbody strakes to direct the underbody airflow out the sides of the car.

Barrett-Jackson held their Las Vegas residency last week and the Chevrolet Corvette was one of the stars of the show with a new 2023 Corvette Z06 and a classic 1961 custom ranking 5th and 6th on the Top 10 non-charity vehicles to sell at the auction. A total of 496 vehicles crossed the Las Vegas auction block at No Reserve, resulting in $29.2 million in vehicle sales.
The 2023 Corvette Z06 is one of the most anticipated sports cars to come to market in some time, and buyers will do just about anything to secure their chance at ownership. The 2023 Corvette Z06 is being offered by the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, a 10-day motorsport festival that’s been a tradition in the keystone state for 40 years. The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that annually raises money for autistic and IDD charities. The organization has already taken delivery of a 2023 Corvette Z06 70th Anniversary Coupe through Pittsburgh’s North Star Chevrolet, and they will hand the keys over to one lucky ticket holder on September 8th, 2023.
When the owner of this 1972 Corvette Stingray coupe bought it more than a half-century ago, we wonder if he had any inkling he’d still own the car today.
But that’s apparently the case for this ’72 that not only still has the same owner but also retains its original 454/270 horsepower V8 engine.
