Corvettes for Sale: 1984 Corvette with ACI Body Kit on Cars and Bids

Back in the day, the newly redesigned 1984 Corvette was a giant leap into the future for Chevrolet’s legendary sports car.

The debut year of the fourth generation proved to be one of the most fruitful in Corvette history, with 51,547 coupes built at the Bowling Green factory. In those days, the base MSRP was only $21,800.

Unfortunately, the styling looks a little dated these days, but this 1984 Corvette has been customized with an American Custom Industries body kit that really makes it pop now.

Now someone else will soon get to enjoy this nearly 40-year-old classic Corvette that’s being offered for sale at no reserve on carsandbids.com. With three days left in the auction, the high bid has climbed to $7,000.

Other modifications, besides the body kit, include a muffler delete and a Sony head unit.

Features include 17-inch alloy wheels, pop-up headlights, leather interior, power driver’s seat, power windows, door locks and mirrors, air conditioning, a Corvette sun shade, and a spare instrument cluster bezel.

The car has a clean Carfax history starting in 1993, though there are multiple gaps in the report. The odometer reads 42,800 miles, though that figure apparently can’t be confirmed.

The seller points out the following flaws: some exterior scratches and chips in the light blue paint, a paint bubble and crack on the hood (shown in the video that accompanies the listing), scuff on the rear spoiler, chips on the wheels, some creases on the seats, and some cracks in the interior panels and bubbling finish on the center console.

There’s no word on how the 205-horsepower 350 V8 engine is performing now, but we are told that in May 2023, the car was serviced with a change of the engine oil and filter, transmission fluid, and coolant, along with the installation of new rear shocks, serpentine belt and upper radiator hose, passenger’s side front brake caliper and front brake hoses, and power antenna.
