Editor’s Note: We heard from General Motors on Tuesday morning that the 2026 Z06 will be offered in Australia and New Zealand. Details of the model were left off GM’s 2026 model rollout announcement as local pricing for the Z06 has yet to be set.
GM has announced the new 2026 model year updates for Corvettes offered for sale through General Motors Specialty Vehicles (GMSV) which covers the Australian and New Zealand market. In our original story, we believed the biggest news wasn’t about new equipment or colors, it’s that the 2026 Z06 wasn’t listed in the press release detailing the 2026 Corvette models offered by GMSV, however the model is still being offered in Australia and GMSV is waiting on “local pricing” to be set before releasing those details, according to a Chevrolet spokesperson we spoke with.
The official release can be read here.
Prices for America’s favorite sports car in the market are increasing by up to $26,000 AUD. In Australia, the 2026 Stingray 2LT Coupe starts at $193,990 while the 3LT Coupe begins at $222,990. The 2026 Stingray Convertible 3LT starts at $232,990 while the 3LZ E-Ray Coupe is shown at $292,990. These prices are before Australia’s “On Road” costs which is sort of like our tags, taxes, and fees that are required, but just way more expensive.
The 2026s headed to Australia and New Zealand will have all the same content changes including the new interiors and three-screen dash layout. However, customers are still limited to four colors for Stingray (Arctic White, Torch Red, Black, and Blade Silver), and the E-Ray has six exterior colors (Arctic White, Black, Torch Red, Blade Silver, Riptide Blue, and Red Mist) that can be ordered.
Also new for the market is that Chevrolet Connected Services with Over-the-Air (OTA) updates are now standard. The Corvette is the first of the GMSV models to include Chevrolet Connected Services, with an eight-year complimentary trial period. Chevrolet Connected Services also includes Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Google Play Store for downloading your favorite car apps.
The release doesn’t specify when availability for the 2026 model year orders will open up, so check with your local GMSV dealer.

Yes the Z06 in Australia after Luxury car tax and GST can range from $350,000 to over $450,000 ,Plus we get the European exhaust for that price which sounds like a Mazda 3
Mary is trimming overhead as year end bonus time is approaching.
And some say there are no foreign tariffs or other trade barriers to US cars… Those prices are some big barriers.
No surprises here. AUS is a big by hook or by crook all electrical Chinese by 2030. So yes 200K for C8 base makes perfectly sense. I am willing to wager base C8 disappears there in two years.
