If you’re a “Rush Hour” fan, this might be just the C3 Corvette for you.
Similar in appearance to the ’72 driven by Chris Tucker in the ubiquitous hit movie, this black-on-black 1969 Stingray up for sale on Craigslist also offers a potent punch under the hood reminiscent of his martial artist co-star Jackie Chan.
This ’69 convertible packs a big-block 427/390 horsepower V8 under the hood, mated to a four-speed manual transmission.
Not only is the engine numbers-matching, but it also has been professionally rebuilt with a cam upgrade, though it otherwise remains stock from the carburetor to the pan.
After putting 4,000 miles on the rebuilt powerplant, the seller reports that it runs “very strong” with “excellent” oil pressure.
The seller, who’s owned the car for the past 15 years, says the car has a new interior, carpet, and convertible top (with a hardtop also thrown in). A new wiring harness, clutch and vacuum lines have also been installed. The vacuum-operated headlights and wiper cover also work properly.
The seller says the black paint is “very nice” driver quality.
Other features include side pipes, tilt-telescopic steering column, and air conditioning though its engine parts are missing.
Located in Bellingham, Washington, the car is being offered for $55,999.
Are you ready for this Stingray to take a starring role in your garage.
