Sounds like someone with good negotiating skills might be able to snag an even better deal on this C3 Corvette with a new crate motor and many other updates.
Already, the owner of this Dark Claret 1980 coupe has marked it down to $6,000 after originally listing it for $7,200 on Facebook Marketplace three months ago.
The best part about the car can’t be seen from the outside, as it boasts an Edelbrock 350 V8 crate motor with Holley carburetor and ceramic coated headers. Hopefully, those additions have increased the puny power rating of the stock L48 engine that produced just 190 horsepower back in the day.
Other mechanical upgrades include new brakes, wheels, tires, door seals, T-top seals, battery, and “lots” of suspension parts. Also waiting to be installed are “all kinds” of other new parts, too.
It’s hard to judge the condition of the paint, based on photos, but it’s easy to figure out that the car definitely does need a deep cleaning of its Oyster leather interior.
As you might have figured out by now, the seller is correct when he calls this Corvette “a work in progress,” but he is optimistic enough after the work so far to note that the car now “runs and drives good.”
Would you be willing to take on the challenge of completing this project car?

You can tell by the front fender emblem that it originally had the 230 hp L82 engine. I would take this car if somebody would give it to me.
