Corvettes for Sale: 85K-Mile 1971 Corvette with Matching Numbers Offered on eBay for $20K

Until about a year ago, this 1971 Corvette coupe was a one-owner car.

Now the guy who bought it from that original owner is offering it on eBay with an asking price of $20,000.

This 85,000-mile Stingray comes with the original numbers-matching 350/270 horsepower V8 engine still under the hood, mated with the original four-speed manual transmission.

Fortunately, the engine has been “completely gone through and full serviced,” the seller says, leaving it running like it’s 1971 again. Same with the transmission that has a new clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, and more and now “shifts like day one from the factory.”

Other recent work done to this 54-year-old car includes replacement headers, a newer Holley four-barrel carburetor, and overhauling of the ignition system. The suspension also has newer bushings, shocks, and ball joints, and the brakes have new pads and rotors with a complete fluid flush less than a year ago.

“Everything in this car mechanically functions like day one,” the seller boasts. “It really runs and drives absolutely perfect – no noises, squeaks, or imperfections at all.”

Outside, the car’s white paint “shines very nicely” and the seller rates its condition overall as “very good, extremely nice, and very presentable with no scratches, chips, or nicks,” with no damage to the fiberglass body.

Underneath, the bird cage and full structure are said to be “100% rust-free,” and the floors and frame rails are “all 100% perfect” as well.

The tan interior, meanwhile, is described as “very nice” other than a “little minor repair in the seam” of the driver’s seat that looks kinda tacky and would need some attention. The carpet is in “great” shape, and all gauges and electronics are in “perfect” working order.
