With the 2025 ZR1 Configurator now online, each of us CorvetteBloggers will be sharing our dream builds. Next up in the series is Mitch Talley’s ultra spicy Red/Red ZR1 Split Window Coupe. Enjoy!
Unless I win the lottery, my hopes of ever owning a 2025 Corvette ZR1 are not very good.
Still, a guy can dream, can’t he? When I first saw the return of the split window on the eighth-generation ZR1, I was hooked. I think it’s a beautiful way to pay homage to the ’63 SWC, and it’s the biggest reason why I chose a coupe instead of a convertible. I really want to be able to look constantly at that monstrous 1,064-horsepower ZR1 engine through that split window.
But I’m not really a high-performance, track-oriented kind of guy, and I’ve always been more about the design of each Corvette, with the big engines a side bonus.
Still, I couldn’t help loading up my version of the ZR1 with lots of performance – and appearance – goodies, especially since it’s on Keith’s tab.
I started out my 3LZ coupe with a Torch Red exterior and an Adrenaline Red interior. Then I added plenty of options, including Jake logo and Corvette racing script wheel center caps ($250), Bright Red-painted brake calipers ($695), Full Length Dual Racing Stripes in Carbon Flash Metallic ($1,195), and 20” front/21” rear 10-spoke visible carbon fiber wheels ($13,995).
Other goodies include the Battery Protection Package ($100), rear fascia protector ($125, gotta protect that paint!), outside mirror covers in visible Carbon Fiber ($1,250), black exhaust tips ($395), Stealth Interior Trim Package ($595), rear hatch strut bracket in Edge Red ($1,795), front lift ($2,595), engine cross brace in visible Carbon Fiber ($2,895), Carbon Fiber Interior Package Level 2 ($4,995), and ZR1 Carbon Fiber Aero Package ($8,495).
With a destination freight charge of $1,695, that adds up to a whopping total of $229,210. Thanks, Keith!

Sorry, guys. Terrible build. Red interior is horrible. Black top and black stripes look terrible. Red is not a good ZR1 color in general.
I totally disagree with TT C8. Just like Alex’s build, this is another great looking and nicely optioned ZR1 build. For some enthusiasts all Corvettes are red.
Too much red!
