Ah, the car show exit.
You would think that people would have learned by now that the fastest way to show up on social media is to do something stupid while leaving a Cars and Coffee.
Apparently, the owner of an Arctic White C8 Corvette Z06 Coupe didn’t get the memo and decided to “give the folks a show they will never forget.”

The accident reportedly occurred at a recent Cars and Coffee gathering in Miami. The driver pulls out nice and slow, but as soon as the accelerator is applied, the Z06 gets squirrelly and the back end comes loose. Normally, you would lift off the accelerator and go on your way, especially after the traction control just saved your ride.
Instead, this driver decides to give it another go. This time, he completely loses control of the Z06 as it spins out and comes to rest on the side of the road. It appears to strike something, but the camera is too far away to show the aftermath clearly.

As usual a beginner driver, could have driven through the second loss of traction, but he made all the wrong moves and fucked up his new toy.
I wonder if being a JERK was worth 20k in damages????

I usually go to one or two Cars and Coffees a month. I always try to leave before they end because of stupid shit like this that turns me off about C&C.
Just proves again that RWD + idiots = this story. You just see it a lot more with hellcats and mustangs–because they’re cheaper. But the lack of driving skill knows no financial bounds.
I feel like this is eerily similar to the guy who killed 2 people in a Jeep with his Z06 a couple years ago…
Teenager driving Daddy’s C6 did this entering the Morrisville Cars and Coffee and hit a light pole. He sat on the curb almost crying 😭 as the police officer was writing him up. Pretty sure Daddy took the keys away. I have no empathy for spoiled little rich kids.
PLEASE! Be careful out there, everyone. And that goes for me, too.
This sort of thing ruins it for the rest of us too. Events like this frequently get shut down by city government when wreckless driving is noticed. A large laid back C&C in Palm beach (about 3000 cars) once had $5 admission. Loads of spectators. Then showoffs got out of control when departing – had some accidents. The organizers had to charge $20 to buy event insurance and hire some police. Attendance dropped to less than 1000. Then it was cancelled. Ultimately it moved to another city which is now too far away from me to bother with. Don’t make the “good days” today into the “good old days”.
