Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for Nov 3rd

Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

I’ve known Mike for about 15 years now, and after featuring many of his customers here on his Sunday delivery posts, I choose to have my own 2025 Corvette E-Ray delivered to his dealership in Gaithersburg, MD. That delivery was Friday morning and just as many of his customers have commented previously, our delivery experience with Mike was first class all the way. We’ll have more on that later, but I just wanted to express my thanks to him once again! ~Saturday 10/26/24~ I travelled two hours North to the AACA Museum in Hershey, PA. Wes Wong hosted a 3 day gala for the Corvette Race team with all proceeds going to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. I am a Lifetime member of the Corvette Museum so I took the day to meet up with Doug Fehan, Wes Wong, Richard Prince, Jim Broyles, Ed Hurst, And many others in attendance.

I even brought my Zora Duntov mannequin which I made up last Winter to join me at Corvette events. Wes handed me the microphone to talk about my Zora creation and how it all came about. I had spent 12 Summers with the real Zora back in 1978-1990 at the Malcolm Konner Corvette shows.

I bought a few items in the auction with all proceeds going to the National Corvette Museum. Check out my Antonio Garcia autographed race worn(many races) race suit along with the Lemans #63 pit row driver sign and Corvette hat signed by 3 of the 4 inductees for the 2024 Corvette HOF (all 3 items now in my collection). I also included a ton of pictures from our private tour of the AACA museum and annex behind the museum. Special thanks to Rick Resser for the private tour as he is a terrific guide.

~1966 Steve McQueen with the Sting Ray Corvette.

Known for his passion for automobiles and racing, Steve McQueen drove a Chevrolet Corvette Stingray in the iconic 1966 movie “The Sand Pebbles.” The legendary American sports automobile of the time, the Corvette Stingray, was a wonderful fit for McQueen’s reputation as a fierce, cool, and daring leading man.

Beyond the screen, McQueen had a deep love for cars; in real life, he was an enthusiastic lover of the Corvette Stingray.

He possessed a number of fast cars, including a large collection of vintage American muscle and sports vehicles. Among his collection’s highlights was without a doubt the Corvette Stingray, with its aerodynamic appearance and strong engine.

~ C8 DELIVERIES

~Thomas B. of Paducah, Kentucky factory ordered from me his new Torch Red 2025 Corvette Z06 Coupe and yesterday he had the Red Carpet rolled out for him as he took delivery at the Corvette Museum in his home state of KY. Equipment: 2LZ, GT2 buckets, visible CF roof panel, front lift, CF interior trim, bright red calipers, black exhaust tips, Jake hood graphic, black spider wheels, visible carbon fiber Aero pkg, Z07 ultimate performance pkg and much more.

The photos are now supplied to me by Fotofx, a company that has been working within the Museum for the past 10+ years and now they have pkgs available for a truly special experience to be captured digitally.

~Dan G. of McLean, Virginia factory ordered from me his 2nd Corvette, this time he takes delivery of a Torch Red 2025 Corvette ERAY Convertible. Dan came in yesterday to sign/pay for his new Eray(#207) and today he has a Detail center picking it up to complete the Ceramic coat etc .

I know Dan’s 9 year old son will be beaming when he rides in his Father’s electrified Corvette. Equipment: 2LZ, front lift, bright red calipers, scrape armor grille and Red seat belts.

~Keith and Sherry C. of Tampa, Florida…Mr and Mrs Corvette Blogger flew up yesterday afternoon and met me for dinner and got plenty of sleep (not!) for today’s Eray delivery. I had their new Eray (#131) cleaned last evening and left inside overnight for our 9am sharp appt. at Criswell Chevrolet of Gaithersburg, Maryland. Keith waited patiently for Hysteria Purple as that was his color of choice for his 2025 Corvette ERAY Convertible. He also chose two tone Sky cool Gray/black for the interior. To add a little color he opted for Red seat belts and red calipers.

Equipment: 3LZ, Stealth interior trim, front lift, personalized plaque, CF black nacelles and top, chrome badges, Black exhaust tips, and scrape armor grille. They are driving back to Tampa and taking the long way home so if you see them on the road, please give them a big Corvette WAVE. This is Keith’s first new vehicle purchase since a 2000 vehicle! Honored to be his Sales rep of choice for his very first Corvette purchase as his 1966 Corvette was originally his Father’s from day one…and no I was not the original sales rep back in 1966…I didn’t start selling until Summer of 1978.
