[VIDEO] How to Clean Your Corvette's Sueded Microfiber Steering Wheel

Many of you that have a C7 or a C8 Corvette with a sueded microfiber steering wheel may have noticed that those surfaces may not be looking that good after years of use. That’s because the oils and dirt on your hands are transferred into the Alcantara, causing it to look dingy and flattening the material.

If you are wanting your sueded microfiber steering wheels to look like new again, our friend Justin from HorsePower Obsessed brings in a professional detailer to show how to clean and bring back the nap of the sueded microfiber on his 2019 Corvette ZR1.

The end result is amazing and the detailer uses a white cloth to illustrate just how much dirt and oil was embedded into the material. If you have a sueded microfiber steering wheel, this video is one to watch!

  1. The simplest way to deal with sueded microfiber is to not get it in the first place. I can’t stand that stuff, so much so I would not buy a car with any of it (steering wheel or seats).
