Customers in Australia and New Zealand should finally begin taking deliveries of their 2024 Corvette E-Rays this month.

That’s the word from an official with General Motors Australia and New Zealand.

“The Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray is possibly our most hotly anticipated model to date, and I can’t wait to see drivers across Australia and New Zealand behind the wheel of this tremendously engaging electrified Corvette,” says Jess Bala, Managing Director General Motors Australia and New Zealand.

“This is the best of Corvette today, paired with the brand’s exciting, electrified tomorrow, and it’s the kind of performance vehicle that needs to be driven to believe. And that day is coming, and coming fast, for the people of Australia and New Zealand.”

The all-wheel-drive electrified E-Rays won’t be cheap, however, as the recommended retail price is $275,000 in Australia and $285,000 in New Zealand. That’s considerably higher than the base price of $115,850 for a 3LZ in the United States.

All of the cars in these two foreign markets will be the top-of-the-line 3LZ coupes that feature carbon ceramic brakes, head-up display, heated and ventilated seats, upgraded interior, and more. Also includes will be the high-performance ZER Performance Package with high-performance Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, ZER Performance Suspension with Magnetic Ride Control, and a taller spoiler wicker for track use.

The E-Ray starts out with the Stingray’s gasoline-powered LT2 V8 that produces 495 horsepower, then adds a self-charging electric motor up front that’s good for another 160 horses to yield a total output of 655 horsepower.

The E-Ray is rated as the quickest Corvette ever with a 0 to 60 time of 2.5 seconds.

  1. With the current exchange rate, that’s about $188,000 USD. So high, but not what it appears at first glance. And all cars tend to cost more in OZ.

  2. I wish deliveries of E-Rays started here in the United States. Local dealers can’t get them.
