General Motors has made no secret that the eighth-generation Corvette will be sold in foreign markets, and that’s already happening with right-hand drive models of the new Stingray and the even more powerful Z06.

Now the 2024 E-Ray – which combines the 495-horsepower LT2 engine of the Stingray with a 165-horsepower electric motor to create the first all-wheel-drive Corvette and the quickest ‘Vette ever with 0-to-60 times of 2.5 seconds – will soon be added to the lineup in Australia.

The 2023 3LZ Z06 coupe fetches $336,100 in “The Land Down Under,” and while pricing for the 2024 E-Ray hasn’t been announced yet by Chevy, we’d guess it would be a little bit less than that since that’s been the formula for the two variants in North America.

“The electrified architecture makes this the most technologically advanced Corvette ever and we are pleased to announce that the MY24 build of the new model is expected to commence mid-next year [2024],” General Motors Specialty Vehicles director Greg Rowe noted in a media statement.

No word on how many E-Rays will head to Australia, but we’d expected it to be low based on this statement by Rowe about the Z06: “Due to incredible global demand, the Corvette Z06 is a measured volume proposition. In keeping with its exclusive nature, availability will be very controlled.”

The long-rumored ZR1 edition is also predicted to be available in Australia when it’s finally released.
