Just as the eighth generation Corvette has steadily progressed since being introduced in 2020, so has the sophistication of the wheels available on the upgraded versions of Chevy’s popular sports car, including the Z06, E-Ray, and now the ZR1.
During the unveiling of the 2025 ZR1 last week, wheel manufacturer Carbon Revolution’s latest contributions to the 1,064-horsepower ZR1 were on full display.
“The thin, split-spoke design of our wheels for GM highlights what is possible with carbon fiber,” Carbon Revolution CEO Jake Dingle explained in a recent press release. “When you compare to some of our earliest designs, coupled with the highest load rating yet for a performance car, you can see how much we have progressed with our technology. The final product enhances the Corvette ZR1’s performance.”
Company engineers made use of their special internal fiber architecture and patent-pending Diamond Weave Technology to surpass GM’s high targets for strength, weight and durability, according to Dingle.
“It has been a great honour to work with General Motors (GM) again. This will be the third Corvette to feature our carbon fibre wheels,” said Carbon Revolution CEO Jake Dingle. “Our team harnessed its extensive engineering and manufacturing experience to come up with a wheel befitting of the highest-performance Corvette we’ve ever seen.”

The new ZR1’s 20×10 front wheels and 21×13 rear wheels (the widest carbon fiber wheels in the world) will be produced on Carbon Revolution’s Mega-line. The lightweight wheels reduce the rotating, unsprung mass by 42.8 pounds across the ZR1, which will have a top speed in excess of 215 mph.

Thanks for sharing. Absolutely beautiful wheel. Cannot wait to see it in person.
This is the best looking wheel of all the different model C8 wheels. There would be nothing cheap about replacing one of these wheels if it got damaged.
Will aluminum wheels also be available? If not I guess I could buy something in the aftermarket. I have heard that special equipment is required to change a tire on carbon fiber wheels. Suppose I get a flat in a rural area? Florida is an awful big and open state. I want something more practical for street use – but still want a ZR1.
Leading edge technology, super strong plus reduces unsprung weight by 42.8 pounds.
Kudos to Mr. Jake Dingle and his engineering team.
Note: Run flat tires?
Many thanks,
Ray
All (!) of the guys I know that are lining up to get a ZR1 are not going to competitively race them on a road race course – if ever. So if the majority of customers don’t need them, why not make carbon fiber wheels an option for those that do? I don’t understand this marketing. Maybe this will be corrected over time as un-repairable CF wheels get chipped on curbs over time and the complaints start streaming in.
