Mecum Auctions storms into Indianapolis in less than 2 weeks for Dana Mecum’s 39th Annual Spring Classic auction. Roughly 3,000 vehicles are expected to cross Mecum’s signature red carpet over the course of the 9-day event at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
Mecum always brings out the best Corvettes, and you’ll find some of the most sought-after variants among the Indy consignments. In addition to the headlining C2 Corvette Bookends, there are many early fuelies, 5 big tank and several big block midyears, a 1969 L88 coupe, a 1971 LS6 convertible, and 4 LT1 C3’s, 4 C4 ZR1’s, a 2011 Carbon Edition C6, 3 C7.R’s, a C8 ZR1X Quail Edition, and so much more. Add in all the stunning custom Corvettes, and you’ve got a well-rounded selection of cars that’ll be pulling fiercely at your wallet.
As we create this piece, we see 145 Corvettes already listed with more being added each day. The available Corvettes cover all 8 generations and model years 1954 through 2026. Midyear Corvettes currently represent about 1/3 of the Indy Corvettes with 48 shown. That’s followed by 30 3rd generation cars, and 22 1st generation, straight axle Corvettes. The remainder of the docket covers the C4 – C8 eras.
