Despite the fact that the new 2025 Corvette Order Guide was released just last month, Chevrolet has been busy making changes as outlined in the Guide’s weekly “Distribution Updates.” Our friends over at the MidEngineCorvetteForum.com saw that the updates had dropped a little early most likely due to the holiday weekend, and there’s quite a bit to take in.
As we have seen over the last few months, Chevrolet has been restricting many of its visible carbon fiber parts and accessories from being available across the board to only being able to be ordered on the top level 3LT/3LZ trim packages. We recently noted that the visible carbon fiber Sill Plates (V8X) were restricted to just 3LT/3LZ and that update was also included in this distribution update:
- Stingray Interior section-(V8X) LPO, Visible Carbon Fiber sill plates, changed availability on 1YC07 1LT, 2LT and 1YC67 1LT, 2LT to “–” and deleted footnote 1.
- Z06 Interior section-(V8X) LPO, Visible Carbon Fiber sill plates, changed availability on 1YH07 1LZ, 2LZ and 1YH67 1LZ, 2LZ to “–” and deleted footnote 1.
- E-Ray Interior section-(V8X) LPO, Visible Carbon Fiber sill plates, changed availability on 1YG07 1LZ, 2LZ and 1YG67 1LZ, 2LZ to “–” and deleted footnote 1
Chevrolet also made multiple changes to the Stingray aero options. For the Stingray’s high wing, two of the three versions (Painted and Visible Carbon Fiber) are now listed as “not available at this time.” The Carbon Flash-painted carbon fiber High Wings are available, but the LPO options on all three were simply updated to reflect that it can’t be ordered if any of the other rear spoilers are selected.
- Stingray Exterior section-(5ZZ) LPO, High wing spoiler, Carbon Flash Metallic-painted, updated footnote 1 to now read “Not available with 5V5, 5ZU, 5ZW, TVS. Deletes (T0A) Z51 rear spoiler when ordered with (Z51) Z51 Performance Package.”
- Stingray Exterior section-(5ZU) LPO, High wing spoiler, body-color, updated footnote 1 to now read “Not available at this time. Requires exterior color (G8G) Arctic White, (GBA) Black or (GKZ) Torch Red. Not available with 5V5, 5ZW, 5ZZ, TVS. Deletes (T0A) Z51 rear spoiler when ordered with (Z51) Z51 Performance Package.
- Stingray Exterior section-(5V5) LPO, High wing spoiler, Visible Carbon Fiber, updated footnote 1 to now read “Not available at this time. Not available with 5ZU, 5ZW, 5ZZ, TVS. Deletes (T0A) Z51 rear spoiler when ordered with (Z51) Z51 Performance Package.”
One of the items that was supposedly coming out in 2024 was the new dealer-installed LPO two-stanchion visible carbon fiber spoiler (5ZW) for the Stingray. I have never seen one either in person or in pics, and have heard from those trying to order one that they are not available. Chevy changed this spoiler to being orderable only for 3LT trim packages, so perhaps it is coming soon.
- Stingray Exterior section-Added (5ZW) LPO, Two-Stanchion spoiler, Visible Carbon Fiber, Genuine Corvette Accessory. It is “A/D1” on 1YC07 3LT and 1YC67 3LT with a footnote 1 that reads “Not available with 5V5, 5ZU, 5ZZ, TVS. Deletes (T0A) Z51 rear spoiler when ordered with (Z51) Z51 Performance Package.
These following changes here are most likely just clarifying that the options can’t be mixed with similar items:
- Stingray Exterior section-(ZF1) Aero delete, updated footnote 1 to now read “Requires (Z51) Z51 Performance Package. Not available with 5V5, 5ZU, 5ZW, 5ZZ.
- Stingray Exterior section-(5V7) LPO, Black Ground Effects, updated footnote 1 to now read “Requires 5V5, 5ZU, 5ZW or 5ZZ. Not available with STI, TVS, Z51.”
And finally, two of the premium car covers for the Stingray are not available if you have any of the high wings. They include the WKQ Premium Indoor Car Cover, and the RNX Premium Outdoor car cover. The funny thing about this is that the photo on the Corvette Accessories catalog shows the cover with a high wing under it, but the disclaimer says not for cars with a high wing spoiler:
- Stingray Exterior section-(WKQ) LPO, Premium indoor car cover, Black with crossed flags logo and access panels, updated footnote 1 to now read “Not available with 5V5, 5ZU, 5ZW, 5ZZ.”
- Stingray Exterior section-(RNX) LPO, Premium outdoor car cover, Gray with Stingray logo and access panels, updated footnote 1 to now read “Not available with 5V5, 5ZU, 5ZW, 5ZZ.
There is one more update for the Corvette Z06 in regards to its LPO RYK Visible Carbon Fiber Door Intake Trim which is now restricted to just 3LZ orders:
- Z06 Exterior section-(RYQ) LPO, Visible Carbon Fiber door intake trim, changed availability on 1YH07 1LZ, 2LZ and 1YH67 1LZ, 2LZ to “–” and updated footnote 1 to now read “Not available with (EFY) body-color exterior accents.”
