A memo was sent out to Chevrolet dealers from General Motors today that provides some additional details for the end of the 2024 Corvettes and the start up of the 2025s. These dates seem to fit in with the recent 2024 color build out dates we got a couple of weeks ago. If you’re trying to get a 2024 order in, you’ll have one final chance.

In the memo, General Motors is stating that the start of regular production (SORP) for the 2025 model year Corvette will now be Monday, September 9th. The first allocations for the 2025 model year will come during the July Cycle 1 (July 11th?). These dates can be somewhat fluid, but at least we now have a date that we can plan for.

The next step for the 2025 model year will come this Monday, June 10th with the release of the 2025 Corvette Order Guide. It should have most of the new items for the model year, and it’s always one of the things we look forward to going through during a model year changeover.

As for the 2024 model year, that will end most likely on Friday, September 6th. There is just one more order cycle happening and that’s coming on Thursday. Dealers received their final allocations today and Chevy even shared a list of “projected” constraints that include:

24MY Build Out Colors:
• GC5 Amplify Orange
• GD0 Accelerate Yellow
• GSJ Silver Flare
• GA7 Hypersonic Gray
• GVR Cacti
• GAR Carbon Flash Metallic
• G9F Ceramic Matric Gray

2024 Stingray
• 1LT – Limited to 20%
• Z51 – Limited to 55%
• Q9I – 20-Spoke Gloss Black Wheels – TBD

2024 Z06
• Z07 – 0%
• SOA – Black Spider Wheels – TBD

It’s once again disappointing to see that Z07 is now 0% and we saw the first inklings of this last week when the T0G and T0F aero was suddenly at 0%. At the Bash they sort of made a deal that these issues with carbon fiber were behind them. As a reminder, these are just for the orders going to be placed, so if have a Z06 with Z07 on an order that has been accepted, you’re good.

As for the 2024 paint being discontinued, we’ll have to wait and see how these final allocations are treated when the order cycle opens. At this point I have no idea how this will all shake out.

  1. I will say that the Vette in the picture above has got to have one of the ugliest wheels I have even seen, even worse than the plain Jane painted wheels on the C-5’s

  2. I hope someone at Chevrolet is focusing on E-Rays. Hybrids are hot and the E-Ray should be made in large quantities. It is laughable to see the ZR1 prototypes driving around since none will be sold to me or you. Mary Barra is struggling.
