[SPIED] First Photos of a 2025 Corvette Z06 Show No Changes to the Great Wall of Buttons

As we begin the run-up to the 2025 model year, one of the areas where we’ve been expecting big changes is the interior as its been rumored that the Great Wall of Buttons would be going away.

Nobody likes to be wrong, but here’s our mea culpa. We have been hearing about changes coming to the 2025 Corvette’s interior for almost a year now, but now it appears that the rumors were wrong and the Great Wall of Buttons will still be available in 2025. That proof comes from these first photos of a 2025 Corvette Z06 CTF (captured test fleet) in which we see no changes to the interior.

Could it be that Chevy might still do an interior change for 2025? After seeing this car, I think that’s highly unlikely. And that’s good news for those who like the physical HVAC controls on the interior partition, as GM has been following Tesla and other manufacturers who have been steadily replacing physical buttons with touch screen controls.

This Red Mist 2025 Corvette Z06 was spotted in the Plant Director’s parking lot at the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green. The VIN photo shows it to be number 003 and it’s not an EX VIN car which would indicate that it’s an experimental build that must be crushed. This 2025 Corvette Z06 is considered a saleable CTF that GM will eventually sell off as a pre-owned vehicle to one its dealers.

So one hand, we are a bit disappointed as it would have been fun to see some changes to the C8’s cockpit which is now six years old (by model years). On the other side of the equation is that when you talk to current C8 owners, most will tell you that they like the physical buttons and the layout becomes second nature once you get used to it.

As far as other changes for 2025, we are expecting up to three exterior color changes (can we please get a Black Rose or that beautiful Purple Heart Metallic?) But other than that, we haven’t heard of any other major equipment changes to the existing lineup. That of course makes the upcoming NCM Bash in April even more of a Must-Attend event for people interested in purchasing a new 2025 Corvette.

  1. I like the Great Wall of Buttons, I call it a Water Fall and all my HVAC controls are conveniently there👍

  2. Seems strange they’re already building a 2025 C8. Are they shipping 2025s to dealers? If not, this might not prove anything at all. I wouldn’t put it past GM to build this and let it be photographed to throw people off the trail.

That said, I don’t believe the interior is going to change either. No reason for GM to spend a million bucks or more.

  3. I don’t know anyone that does not like the present set up. I love mine and think
it is a wonderful interior and layout. Who would possibly think the powers that be would change the layout after the first year of the E-Ray? Get real.

  4. The Great Wall as some people call it is in my opinion a key plus in the C8s interior, “OH MY GOD” a row of physical buttons ? “A WALL”? Geez you guys, mellow, relax, and above all try to avoid being a keyboard soldier. That arrangement is so darn practical especially for the passenger. IF IT ISNT BROKE-Well you know the rest.

  5. I personally think the center console is too high. I own a C7 and like it much better. The “Wall” shuts out the passenger from running the navigation, etc. while we’re driving.
