[VIDEO] Brian Hobaugh and his ’65 Corvette Autocross at the Good Guys 40th All American Get-Together

It’s been a little while since we featured Brian Hobaugh and his 1965 Corvette and I am shocked to see my last video of his autocrossing exploits was back in 2018. For some background info, Brian is driving the same 1965 Coupe his dad bought back in 1983 to autocross and he’s been continuing on with the family tradition.

As it happens many times in this hobby, we recognize the car first and then we remember the owner. I was cruising through YouTube Tuesday evening when I see this video with a familiar-looking 1965 Corvette Coupe with black wheels and a Plexiglas spoiler, and I knew right away it this was going to an AutoX run by the previous winner of the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational.

For this latest competition, Brian and his ’65 Coupe were at the Good Guys show in Pleasanton, California last weekend for the 40th All American Get-Together. Brian would finish 2nd in the PRO class with a time of 26.320. The top four times of the event were all lead by Corvettes with the top time going to Scott Fraser in a 1989 Corvette who ran the course in 25.927 seconds.
