One of the highlights for any visit to Bowling Green is a trip to see the Corvettes being built at the Assembly Plant. As we have reported previously, the assembly plant closed public tours on February 5th for “manufacturing enhancements” and we’ve heard that it could be closed for a year or longer as they are also refurbing the side entrance where employees and the public enters for tours.

Now we are hearing about an opportunity for a select few to go through the plant later this year. That news came this morning from the National Corvette Museum which announced that tours of the Corvette Assembly Plant will be available for the week of the museum’s 30th Anniversary Celebration which starts on Thursday, August 29th.

The starting and ending days have not yet been posted, and those interested will have to wait until May 15th to registered for a time. The NCM also says that reservations will be limited.

Approximately five thousand Corvettes are expected in Bowling Green during that week as part of the National Corvette Caravan for the 30th Anniversary Celebration, so we can imagine that spaces will be very limited indeed!

The Corvette Museum and Assembly Plant did this one time before in 2019 when the plant was closed prior to the C8 starting. However, they used the opportunity as an NCM fundraiser by charging $500 per slot. There is nothing up yet on the NCM website so stay tuned and we’ll bring you the pricing when its available.

The National Corvette Museum has more information about the 30th Anniversary & Corvette Caravans including registration.
