We’ve told you about stolen Corvettes being recovered decades after they were taken.
Here’s a similar story with a much faster happy ending for the owner.
Indeed, this black-on-black C7 Corvette coupe was reported stolen at 3:47 p.m. Tuesday. Less than an hour later, the Volusia Sheriff’s Office in Deland, Florida had recovered the car!
With the help of Air One – the department’s aerial surveillance unit that employs Bell 407 helicopters capable of a top speed of 160 mph – authorities had quickly spotted the missing Corvette and arrested two suspects – all by 4:32 p.m.
The owner of the Corvette reports that he had been carjacked at gunpoint on South Thompson Street in Deland. Not surprisingly, when deputies found the Stingray just 45 minutes later, they also recovered a Glock handgun with an extended magazine on the driver’s seat as well as another handgun on the ground nearby.
Based on a couple of photos posted by shorenewsnetwork.com, it appears that the Corvette wasn’t damaged during its brief time with the thieves.

Lets see their pictures !!!!
Car jackers who can actually drive a manual transmission? Wow. That’s rare.
Show the perps!
It’s not a manual transmission. I can easily spot a C7 with the paddle shift automatic since I own one.
I say Lock them up and throw away the keys !
Needs a new consol armrest cover.
That was my thinking as well!
