If you’re looking for an exotic C7 Grand Sport, they don’t come much more appealing than this Long Beach Red Metallic Tint Coat convertible being offered on Craigslist out of the Port Charlotte, Florida area.
Originally carrying an MSRP of $97,060, this car is about as loaded as they come from the factory, and the enthusiastic owner has added even more to the picture with his own tasteful custom touches.
Only 146 Grand Sport convertibles (out of just 2,046 total for the year) were built in Long Beach Red (at an extra cost of $995), and this one is further differentiated by the Spice Red Design Package that cost $3,000 back in the day and added Spice Red full-color instrument panel, doors, and seats for a semi-dipped look.
Adding even more to the appeal is the addition of the $7,995 Z07 Performance Package that makes use of the same carbon-ceramic brakes and sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 ZP tires as on the Z06. Those tires, by the way, are said to be “like new.”
The car is further enhanced by the top-of-the-line 3LT Preferred Equipment Group for $9,745, and we love the exterior enhancements of the Spice Red canvas top, $1,495 Grand Sport Machined Face Aluminum Wheels and $795 Grand Sport Heritage Package. Some may not be in favor of the 8-speed automatic transmission, but personally we don’t mind.
The owner has added other cosmetic upgrades like a custom-designed stinger hood stripe with matching hash marks, ACC Stainless exhaust tip backing plate, exhaust LED lights, ACC Stainless taillight bezels, extended carbon flash splash guards front and rear, ACC Stainless 15-piece engine bay package, LED engine bay lighting, carbon flash side skirts, custom Grand Sport hood liner, and aluminum Rim-Pro wheel protectors.
The car has been driven just 25,000 miles and the seller says “everything is in working order.” He has regularly attended car shows and has won “lots of trophies” in the process, according to the listing. No surprise there, huh, with such a beautiful car?

I have never been a fan of red on red… too damned bright… but this colour is nice! very rich and elegant.
Now, lose that stupid automatic transmission… sigh…

Damn, I thought my 11′ GS in Crystal Red Met tint coat was awesome and it is, but damn this one is just flat beautiful. I’ve had both auto and manual and ya the manual is more fun and it promotes more street “Playing” but it’s equally nice to just sit back and enjoy the drive and people gawking at you everywhere you go. And when you hit the loud pedal it still sets you in your seat and puts a big grin on your mug:)

I love every Vette Generation, I own 2 Vettes one is a C6 grand sport 2013 and the other is C3 1981 corvette, there is nothing like these cars on the street. You have to drive them. Life is too short to drive boring cars
Does this come with the hard top also.
