Legendary resto-mod Corvette designer Jeff Hayes continues his trend away from his traditional black and red C2 creations at the upcoming 2024 Barrett-Jackson Auction in Westwood.

If you’ve seen one of Hayes’ cars over the past nearly two decades, you know the quality of his work, especially when it comes to classy, updated interiors.

That tradition of quality continues with his latest entry at the Jan. 20-28, 2024 auction at Westwood with this beautiful 1967 Corvette convertible resto-mod that features a unique Champagne paint job with a Linen interior. How about those custom-designed Schott wheels wrapped in special white line tires, too. We love the overall presentation!

Hayes just finished the car in October, and as you might expect it is loaded to the gills with modern features but not so much that the initial beauty imparted by its 1960s designers is smothered.

Inside, for instance, you’ll find a Vintage Air climate system, AM/FM Bluetooth stereo, power steering and power windows, and a power hood. It’s the overall beauty of the interior that deserves your attention, though. Take a second to soak it all.

Meanwhile, he started out with an Art Morrison sport chassis for improved handling and performance, along with installing four-wheel Wilwood disc brakes. Then there is a powerful LS3 V8 engine that makes 540 horsepower, hooked to a 4L70E automatic transmission.

Of course, the sad thing about Hayes’ creations is that ordinary enthusiasts can’t afford to enjoy his cars. Witness the Silver Blue ’67 convertible with a cream interior that sold for a whopping $715,000 at the 2022 Scottsdale, or the Dirty Martini Green ’67 with a Buttercream interior that became the most-expensive custom ’67 ever at the 2023 Scottsdale, fetching an incredible $770,000.

How much do you think his latest creation will go for when it crosses the block early next year?

  1. The Barrett-Jackson week of events is at the WESTWORLD OF SCOTTSDALE Equestrian Center in North Scottsdale, Arizona, owned by the City of Scottsdale, AZ.
Please get it right after alot of years of Craig Jackson renting out WestWorld for his events.
    Thanks.

BTW, Mr. Hayes needs to come back down to Earth and leave his fantasy planet where he sells these beautiful Corvettes that will never get driven to idiots like Kevin Hart that demonstrates the absolute truth in “MORE CASH IN HIS POCKET THAN BRAINS IN HIS HEAD”.

How about a nice Split Window Coupe with the original fuelly engine? Or a Mosport Green ’66 Convertible blasting a 427?
Just saying Mr. Hayes, with that kind of money, you could restore a fleet of Corvettes every year!
    Thanks for listening.
