Barrett-Jackson held their Las Vegas residency last week and the Chevrolet Corvette was one of the stars of the show with a new 2023 Corvette Z06 and a classic 1961 custom ranking 5th and 6th on the Top 10 non-charity vehicles to sell at the auction. A total of 496 vehicles crossed the Las Vegas auction block at No Reserve, resulting in $29.2 million in vehicle sales.

Leading all Corvettes was this 70th Anniversary 2023 Corvette Z06 in White Pearl tri-coat metallic which broke the record for a non-charity C8 Z06 at auction, hammering for $257,000. The final sales price was $282,700 with buyer’s commission added.

The previous high sale was at Mecum Kissimmee with a Torch Red Coupe reaching a hammer price of $250,000 and a final price of $275,000 with buyer’s commission added.

The 70th Anniversary Edition Corvette was Lot #733 and it features the Z07 Performance Package with its Carbon Aero package. A search of its VIN shows the original MSRP was $158,915. Based on the hammer price of $257,000, the seller will net a cool profit of $98,085!

The buyer of this Z06 is also getting a great car with just 500 miles on the odometer. The VIN sequence shows a low production number of #036 and as the car was built last December, the warranty is transferable to the new owner.

Here is a video of the Anniversary Z06 Corvette being sold at Barrett-Jackson, and dare I say the winner is going to love HER new sports car!

Barrett-Jackson’s next event will be the inaugural New Orleans Auction held on September 28-30, 2023, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

  1. The seller will not net $98,000. They must pay a sellers fee to the auction house. The net winner is the Barrett-Jackson. I’m pretty sure the buyer’s husband has a lot more money than they can spend in their lifetime and if it makes her happy…how much can they lose after she moves on to another pretty car?

  2. Buyers notoriously over-pay at B-J auctions. Must be a “I’m richer than you and will flaunt it” mentality on some of these cars.
