Corvettes for Sale: 1982 Collector’s Edition with 12K Miles on Craigslist

To celebrate the end of the third generation of Corvettes, Chevrolet went all out with a special Collector Edition that included the first-ever lifting rear hatchback glass for the Corvette.

Only 6,759 of these special cars were built at the Bowling Green factory that year, with the Collector Edition becoming the first Corvette to burst through the $20,000 MSRP barrier at $22,537.59.

A beautiful example is currently for sale in the Tampa, Florida area. With only 12,720 miles, this Corvette is being offered for $26,500.

The Collector’s Edition featured special Silver Beige paint, graduated hood and side body decals, commemorative aluminum wheels, accent pinstriping, multi-tone silver-beige leather seats and door trim, leather wrapped steering wheel and horn cap, cloisonne exterior and interior emblems, and upgraded carpeting.

As you might expect, this one is immaculate, with the paint described as “gorgeous!” and the factory decals “like new,” as is the interior.

Equipment includes “beautiful” glass tops, factory tinted windows, power mirrors, cruise control, tilt wheel, power door locks, power windows, and power seats.
