Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.
Welcome back to another C8 delivery post with this week’s featured C8 Corvettes. Mike shares some great pics this week, including a Black 70th Anniversary Stingray Convertible! He also shows a couple of special Chevys for sale in the Criswell Showroom, and speaking of the showroom, you’ll never know who might be stopping by to discuss a future order. Kicking off this week’s Dispatch are some pics with Zora, and then we go right into the deliveries. Make sure you stick around until the end as great vintage and throwback photos are also included!
~Next Saturday, July 30th, in Haymarket, Virginia, is the Vettes for Vets Corvette show! It was rained out a few weeks ago, so get your Corvette shined up, and schedule permitting, I will be there with my Pearl White 70th Anniversary 2023 Corvette Convertible. Last year’s event was a huge success for the Veterans, and this year’s show will be sensational.
~Bob and Sue S. of Sutherlin, Oregon, had me order their new Red Mist 2023 Corvette coupe, and I drop shipped it to their local Chevrolet dealership in Roseburg, Oregon. Last week they took delivery and are loving it! They chose Z51 and magnetic ride, front lift with black interior, and red stitching.
”I drove over 200 miles each way from Pittsburgh to use Criswell Chevrolet of Gaithersburg, MD to Service my Corvette, and it was worth the trip. Dina was amazing. When I scheduled the appointment, I just needed my 7500-mile service done. About a week or so before the appointment, the car started having trouble starting, and the front camera stopped working. Dina and her team found the problem, which was the battery, replaced it, make sure everything was working again, did the scheduled service and had me out and on the way home in 2.5 hours. I know she paid extra attention and expedited process because she knew I was from out of town, and I really appreciate that. Service in so many areas, especially car dealerships, has gone so far downhill over the past year or two. Both myself and friends have had bad experiences at other dealerships. It is so refreshing to see a dealership service department that is as competent and efficient as this one. I bought my Corvette from Mike Furman and he set up my delivery at the Corvette Museum and I will certainly continue to have it serviced at Criswell Chevrolet of Gaithersburg, MD.”

Pic #36 — is that a 348 or 409 shoehorned into a C1 Corvette???

I would say it’s a 409 since it has 2×4 carbs. The 348s used 3x2s. Not that they couldn’t have switched them but I’m just saying.
My fave pic is of the ’71 ZR1. Wow!! One of only eight cars!!
How come the date the cars were ordered is never mentioned ? Here’s why I think this is so::because he gets these cars very quickly from the date of order and it comes in a matter of months instead of the almost two years other dealer have been waiting for their customer’s car. GM is playing favorites, that’s why the dates of order are not revealed.
