We had earlier spied the 70th Anniversary wheels for the 2023 Corvette Stingray as they were mounted to the first pre-production marketing cars that were built and sent to Detroit. We knew right away these were for the 70th Anniversary as the Red Stripe around the rim is your tell. Those four preproduction 70th Anniversary Corvette Stingrays will be photographed for the upcoming 2023 brochure and hero cards before being sent out to car shows and other events.

Thankfully, GM didn’t stop with just the one design for the Stingray’s 70th Anniversary and just as we called, there are two other designs that will be available to order on regular 2023 Stingrays. The marketing photo above was posted to the Corvette Forum by a member named “Z06WOT.”

The New 2023 Corvette Stingray Wheels:

  • Q99 – 20-spoke Bright Machined-Face forged aluminum
  • Q9I – 20-spoke Gloss Black forged aluminum
  • Q9A – 20-spoke Carbon Flash-painted forged aluminum with Red stripe for 70th

GM describes these as 20-spoke forged aluminum wheels and they will be offered in Bright Machine-Faced (Q99) and Gloss Black (Q9I) with a staggered setup of 19″x8.5″ fronts and 20″x11″ rears. These new forged wheels are Regular Production Options (RPO) and will be installed on the Stingray at the assembly plant. Unlike LPO wheels like the five-spoke Black Trident wheels that were just discontinued, when you order these 20-spoke wheels on your 2023 Corvette Stingray, you’ll only get the one set of wheels.

When we first came across these earlier in March, we could see the same underlying design as the Z06’s Spider wheels but with an extra design element on top of them. Look closely and you’ll see the “tuning forks” as we originally called the spider wheels. We also like the fact that these spokes appear to have a slight twist to them which gives the illusion of movement when sitting still.

What are your thoughts on these three new Stingray Wheels? Would you also like to see a bright polished version? Let us know in the comments below!

  1. I can’t imagine where the crazy idea of BLACK wheels ever came from – – how about WHITE wheels, that would look equally stupid! I still say “bring on the chrome”

  2. I like the idea of chrome, too. But that “is not allowed”!!! For all the variations Chevrolet has for wheels, why not chrome?

  3. Up until now, the only factory wheels I have liked on the C8 have been the spectra gray tridents. I do like the designs of the new wheels, but would like to see different finishes on them. However, I do not like the red stripes on this, or any other wheel.

  4. The only decent wheel design on the C8 is the new ZO6 spyder machine face. Too bad it isn’t available on the Stingray. Something chrome would be nice, too.

  5. These wheels could not be busier if they tried!!!! for gosh sakes it would take an hour to clean one wheel. BRING BACK CHROME

  6. Be nice to see these new wheels on the visualizer, geez , should have been online long ago, anyone know when it will be live? Thanks
