Our friends at Lingenfelter Performance Engineering have been on a bit of a tear with several new products recently announced for the C8 Corvette Stingray. With a Magnuson 705-hp supercharger kit now available, LPE has turned their attention to the C8’s brakes. Their latest announcement is a collaboration with Alcon Pro-System Performance Brakes to create a new brakes package for those who are seeking additional performance from their mid-engine Corvettes.

Alcon got their start with supplying brakes to IndyCar teams in the mid-1980s before branching out to multiple racing series including IMSA, Trans-AM, and NASCAR. Today they manufacture their Pro-System rotors at their facility in Moorseville, NC.

Those rotors are made from specially formulated grey cast iron to provide the best in thermal stability, friction coefficient, and heat transfer characteristics. Pro-System brake kits also include high-performance brake pads, anti-rattle clips, and bedding. The calipers are made from forged aluminum and are the same used in top-level pro racing. The stainless steel 6-piston design is optimized for use with the stock master cylinder, booster, and ABS systems.

The Alcon Performance Brake Kits offered by Lingenfelter is available to fit either OEM wheels or those C8s with aftermarket wheels and both kits use the stock C8 parking brake. Regardless of which kit you need, LPE is pricing them at $9,608.24 which covers the front and rear brakes on your C8 Corvette Stingray.
