…Motorcar Classics of Farmingdale, NY and their picture series entitled Stock Number 1999. MCC is one of the finest purveyors of collectible vehicles in the country, and their photo booth is nigh unrivaled in the dealership space. Just look at the spread that they put together for Stock 1999, a 1,595-mile Shadow Gray Metallic over Kalahari 2019 ZR1 with a 7-speed manual and the “Big Wing” ZTK Package; it is, in a word, stunning!

It is ZR1 number 2,245 out of the 2,953-unit run enjoyed by the grand finale of front-engine Corvettes. Even though the gallery looks like a million dollars, the best news about this show-stopper is Motorcar Classics’ asking price of $189,900. There seems to be a lot of very desirable ZR1s hitting the market since October 26th, as people are apparently making garage room to cure their Z06 fever, but we think that parting ways with any 755-horse monsters at this point might be short-sighted. The “Batwing” ZR1 is a freight train of appreciation that will likely only continue to make current owners money for the foreseeable future.

  1. Once non driving collectors and resellers corner a particular market, the prices just go stupid no matter how you try to spin it.
