To truly experience the capabilities of the all new Corvette Z06, it helps to take a ride along with a professional race car driver. Tommy Milner, who co-drives the #4 Corvette C7.R for Corvette Racing in the TUDOR United Sports Car Championship Series is no stranger to going fast on the track at Road Atlanta and now we get to see a complete hot lap with Tommy driving the all new 2015 Corvette Z06 production car.
It’s not every day that someone gets to ride in a high-performance sports car like a 2014 Corvette Stingray.
And it’s certainly not every day that someone gets to ride with the likes of former IndyCar and current NASCAR driver Danica Patrick behind the steering wheel.
But that’s exactly what Dustin Wilson of The Block.com got to do during the 2014 SEMA show held last week in Las Vegas.
During the National Corvette Museum’s Grand Opening of the Motorsports Park over Labor Day weekend, this guy gets to do two hot laps with hall of fame driver Ron Fellows of Corvette Racing fame.
The hot laps were run on the East track and we get to see one of the highlights of the new course which is the 30-40 elevation foot drop into a left hand turn that has been nicknamed “The Sinkhole”.
During the Grand Opening weekend, it was announced that The Ron Fellows School of High Performance Driving will be offering select programs at the new Motorsports Park.

Thanks to our good friends at Mobil 1, we had the opportunity to ride along in a hot lap in a Bondurant High Performance Driving School’s Velocity Yellow 2014 Corvette Stingray at the 12 Hours of Sebring last week.

I love these kinds of videos that show hapless passengers hanging on for dear life as they are taken for a ride around a race track. But for some reason, it’s even more fun when that passenger is your own mother. One driver named Darius not only takes his mom for some hot laps around Laguna Seca in a Corvette Z06, he makes sure a camera captures the whole experience.
Here’s a video posted on Facebook by the FIA GT1 World Championship guys showing a stock Corvette Grand Sport on a hot lap of the Nurburgring. Who doesn’t love a Corvette attacking the green hell, right? But what makes this video really interesting is that the Grand Sport doing the hot lap is wearing Michigan Manufactuer license plates. Kinda makes you wonder why it’s over there…
