[VIDEO] Tracking the New 2023 Corvette Z06 at the NCM Motorsports Park

Our friend Byron Glover Jr of the Drive 615 YouTube channel is a Corvette enthusiast with an Arctic White C7 Z06 in his garage. So, when he got the opportunity to drive the new 670-hp Corvette Z06 at the Corvette Museum’s Motorsports Park, he jumped at the opportunity. Best of all, he takes us with him on his ride!

Byron visits the track first and catches sight of the two Z06s that he will be driving, but that comes later because he first will do a tour of the Corvette Assembly Plant to see how they are made.

Unfortunately, no cameras are allowed inside the facility so we only get a recap. Byron says the Stingrays and Z06s were spied on the line, but no E-Rays yet. He also confirms seeing some of the new “color specs” at the 800,000 sq-ft paint shop.

Returning back to the Motorsports Part, it’s now time to drive the new Z06. It’s a lead-follow format with Byron in the second position behind a Camaro leading the session. The first lap is pretty tame, but Byron is hugely excited to be driving it as it shows. At the end of the first lap, he is rewarded with a moment to go wide-open-throttle as he races down the front stretch of track. After two laps, the speeds are considerably faster with triple digit speeds reached at various sections.

If you liked what you saw, set up a date and go drive the new Corvette Z06 at the NCM Motorsport Park. The Z06 Drive Experience allows you to four lead/follow laps, a 0-60 mph launch, and a hot lap driven by an MSP professional. However, it’s not a cheap date as it costs $1482.94 for one adult. However, for those on a deep Z06 list who want to experience the car now, this looks like great fun! Click here to schedule your Z06 Drive.

  1. For what that costs I’ll just stick to paying only $35 to race fast go karts at GoPro Motorplex and having a total blast while doing it.
