Believe it or not, the driver of this orange C8 Corvette coupe escaped injury after a pickup rolled over the sports car and wound up with its front tires resting on the seats.
Mecum is Bringing the Corvettes to Dallas on September 20-23
They say that things are always bigger in Texas, so when the world’s largest auction company comes to town, you know there are going to be some great vehicles offered and smoking hot deals made over the four-day sale! Mecum Auctions will be offering 1,500 collector cars for sale during their visit to Dallas on September 20-23 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. The gavel action begins each day at 10 am CT. A total of 82 Corvettes have been consigned so far and we can expect a few more to come in as we get closer to the sale.

When the C8 Corvette was first revealed in California, the automotive world was set afire when GM’s Mark Reuss told us the price would start at $59K for the new sports car. Since that moment, there have been four model years that have been completed with model year #5 kicking off this week. We’ve also seen the Stingray joined in the line-up by the track-focused 2023 Corvette Z06 which starts at $108,100, and the new 2024 Corvette E-Ray whose MSRP begins at $102,900.

The 2023 Corvettes at Carlisle show was another record setting event. During the hot and steamy weekend it was announced that they’d achieved over 3,000 Corvette registrations for the first time ever. Now add to that the 2024 E-Ray’s, the for-sale cars, Chip’s Choice, autocross, and more and you’ve got one massive Corvette show.
Corvettes for Sale: Former Fuelie Barn Find 1958 Corvette Offered on eBay
Chevy only made 1,511 Corvettes in 1958 with fuel injection.
One of them is now up for sale on eBay in Harpursville, New York, where 33 bids have climbed to $33,600 – still shy of the reserve with the auction slated to end Wednesday morning.

Hennessey had previously introduced their H700 supercharger package for the C8 Corvette Stingray earlier this year with their heritage package making 708-horsepower and 638 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm. That was a 44% increase in power over the stock Stingray and also surpasses the power specs for the 2023 Z06.
