Since I started writing about cars semi-professionally, there’s been one splinter I’ve been unable to get out of my frontal cortex. With the Corvette Z06 GT3.R ready to race for 2024, we’ve seen teams stepping up to field the cars in their inaugural year.
In addition to Pratt Miller Motorsports who will run a two-car effort in IMSA’s GTD-Pro class, Chevrolet Racing has received commitments from AWA Racing who will be fielding two Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs in IMSA’s GTD, while in the World Endurance Championship, two more Z06 GT3.Rs will be fielded by the British team TF Sport.
You can now add North Carolina-based DXDT Racing to the mix as owner David Askew confirmed on Thursday the team will have two Z06 GT3.Rs competing in the Fanatec GT World Challenge America series for 2024.
GM Offers Updated TechLink Article on Servicing the Transmission in the C8 Corvette

Now that we are in the 5th model year for the C8 Corvette, GM has published an updated TechLink article about servicing the Tremec dual-clutch transmission. The TechLink focuses on the DCT’s canister filter and when it should be replaced. GM had previously changed the schedule of when the canister should initially be changed, and then the mileage for follow up changes, so this is a great refresher for Corvette owners who own a C8.

Our friends at Mecum Auctions have a double shot of events happening in October beginning this week with the Indy Fall Special 2023 which runs Thursday, October 5th through Saturday, October 7th at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and Event Center. The second date for October will be held in conjunction with the Chattanooga Motorcar Festival with the Chattanooga Collector Car Auction auction held Friday, October 13th and Saturday, October 14th at the Chattanooga Convention Center. Gates open at both locations at 8:00 am ET with the car auctions beginning daily at 10:00 am ET.
