Corvettes for Sale: 25K-Mile 1977 Corvette with a 4-Speed on Craigslist

The 2023 Corvette has just gone down as the second-most-popular ‘Vette ever with more than 53,000 produced by the good folks at the Bowling Green plant.

But, back in the day, the ’77 Corvette proved to be nearly as hot, despite giving up a lot in performance and luxury features to the C8.

Indeed, Chevy built 49,213 Corvette coupes in ’77, including this low-mileage beauty that’s currently up for sale on craigslist for $21,900 out of the Eagle River area in the northern tip of Wisconsin.

The owner describes his car as a “25,000 original mile survivor,” but what may be of most interest to certain enthusiasts is that it has a four-speed manual transmission – one of only 2,060 made that year, or just 4 percent of the total output!

While the ’78 would debut the fastback rear window treatment, allowing easier access to and more storage in the rear storage compartment, we still prefer the sleek look of the flat rear deck of the ’68-’77 Corvettes.

Back in those days, Classic White was the reigning color of choice with 9,408, but the color palette also included a lot of other very popular shades, including Corvette Light Blue, this car being one of the 5,967 to wear that tint.

Described as “all original,” we assume that means the numbers-matching L48 350/190 horsepower V8 engine is still under that long sleek hood. The car comes nicely optioned with AM/FM radio, air conditioning, power steering, and black leather seats.

“Very nice original car that runs and drives like new” is the way the seller sums it up, and the listing photos certainly seem to validate that opinion.

By the way, the seller is willing to entertain trades “up or down” for a ’68-’87 C10 short box pickup.
