With the Corvette Z06 GT3.R ready to race for 2024, we’ve seen teams stepping up to field the cars in their inaugural year.

In addition to Pratt Miller Motorsports who will run a two-car effort in IMSA’s GTD-Pro class, Chevrolet Racing has received commitments from AWA Racing who will be fielding two Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs in IMSA’s GTD, while in the World Endurance Championship, two more Z06 GT3.Rs will be fielded by the British team TF Sport.

You can now add North Carolina-based DXDT Racing to the mix as owner David Askew confirmed on Thursday the team will have two Z06 GT3.Rs competing in the Fanatec GT World Challenge America series for 2024.

“I’m tremendously excited to run the new Corvette Z06 GT3.R next year,” said team owner David Askew. “We have developed a great relationship with the folks at Corvette Racing and Pratt Miller. I look forward to working closely with them. They have a long history of winning races and championships all over the world, and we aim to leverage that expertise and put it to use at DXDT. I particularly like the fact that we are starting with the car in SRO. We will be able to focus and really work on developing the car, and if we put our heads down and work hard, I think DXDT has a real opportunity to win races and championships in the coming years.”

DXDT Racing has been racing with Mercedes machinery and will start the 2024 season with two Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVOs. It’s expected that DXDT will transition over to the Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs at some point after the season’s opening race in April at Sonoma, which they will run the for majority of the season in SRO competition. Drivers will be announced later.

The announcement by DXDT rounds out the Z06 GT3.R customer teams for the 2024 season.

“It’s a significant honor to have DXDT choose the Corvette Z06 GT3.R for the GT World Challenge America championship,” said Christie Bagne, Corvette Z06 GT3.R Program Manager. “Our groups at Chevrolet Racing and Pratt Miller are very impressed by the investment that David Askew and his group have made with their race operations and level of professionalism during this process. We look forward to working with DXDT to contend for race wins and titles in GT World Challenge America.”

DXDT has been a fixture in the GT World Challenge America series for several years and is currently campaigning a Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO for Scott Smithson and Bryan Sellers in the Pro-Am class.
