And while you may pay a little more (or a lot more depending on the price), that grin on your face as you are driving the new plastic fantastic mid-engine sports car now instead of waiting another year may just be worth it in the end.

We know that yesterday’s spy video of the C8 Corvette Z06 utilizing Launch Control for those wide-open throttle runs got a whole lot of you very excited about what’s to come. We are very much looking forward to seeing how the C8’s performance model will perform both on the track as well as for daily driving.
As we have discussed previously, we believe that Chevy’s engineers are testing both the Corvette Z06 and the ZR1 models concurrently and are using both the Ferrari 458 and the Porsche 911 GT2 RS as benchmarks against the performance C8 Corvette prototypes. But why is Chevy utilizing the Ferrari 458 model which is now twelve years old when Ferrari has already launched two successor models to the 458?

A Thursday night crash in Utah involving four vehicles sent a C6 Corvette driver and his passenger to the hospital, but fortunately, their injuries apparently weren’t as severe as the damage to their car.

Here’s another set of informative video(s) from the Corvette Mechanic Paul Koerner who is a GM World Class Technician with Key Chevrolet in Middletown, CT. Paul has an Elkhart Lake Blue C8 Corvette at his dealership for a 4-wheel alignment and he uses this new video to show why it takes so much longer to perform the service on the 8th-Gen Corvettes compared with earlier models.
It may look like Dolly Parton’s “Coat of Many Colors” right now, but this 1969 Corvette Stingray coupe offers up a lot of potential for a new owner.
Interest in this Corvette – which hasn’t been on the road since the 1980s – has been high on eBay, with 32 bids climbing to $10,000 with a week left in the auction.
Like all good streaks, the uninterrupted nine-week run by the Corvette Assembly Plant to stay open is coming to an end as the plant will shut down for the week of May 10th due to a parts shortage. The Assembly Plant is expected to reopen on May 17th.
It was about a year ago when we caught part one of this custom ’62 Corvette build being done by the great Chip Foose. I remember checking out the shorter 2nd video which featured mostly people not named Chip Foose and so we haven’t covered it since. But Chip is back in the widebody ’62 Corvette project and this time he is melding a midyear’s double-hump dash design into the C1 Corvette.

I guess this answers the questions on whether or not 22-inch rims will fit on a C8 Corvette. And with 21s on the front, there’s no need to lower it to get rid of that wheel gap…amirite?
