In his latest post, Collins and his two kids, Alex and Kelsey, head out to a longtime friend’s house where they wind up buying a trifecta of vehicles from Frank Marino – a 1967 Marina Blue Corvette convertible with factory air, a 1969 white Corvette convertible, and a nice low-mileage white H2 Hummer.
Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.
In this week’s Delivery post, Mike queues up two more opportunities to attend Corvette Owner’s School at Spring Mountain and he shares a great pic showing the track from the air. Mike also shares a few pics of Gary Konner’s special edition Corvette tributes to his father, the late Malcolm Konner. As far as new C8 Corvette deliveries, how cool are two friends ordering and having delivered sequential 2021 Corvettes? Finally, Mike shares the news about a death in the Corvette family and dedicates today’s vintage and throwback section to Harvey Gluck who recently passed away.

This Torch Red 2021 Corvette Stingray Z51 Coupe has been purchased by Consumer Reports for their automotive test fleet and today three of their automotive reviewers offered their first impressions of the car.
Consumer Reports hasn’t always appreciated the Chevrolet Corvette as much as we think they should, although their tune mostly changed to positive with the arrival of the C7 Corvette. CR’s first review of the C8 Corvette back in 2019 was also positive, so it will be interesting to hear what they have to say about spending more time in the mid-engine Corvette.
In lieu of huge waitlists and backlogs for purchasing the new C8 Corvette at your Chevy dealership, there are examples for sale on just about every online sales platform these days. And while you may pay a little more (or a lot more depending on the price), that grin on your face as you are driving the new plastic fantastic mid-engine sports car now instead of waiting another year may just be worth it in the end.

We know that yesterday’s spy video of the C8 Corvette Z06 utilizing Launch Control for those wide-open throttle runs got a whole lot of you very excited about what’s to come. We are very much looking forward to seeing how the C8’s performance model will perform both on the track as well as for daily driving.
As we have discussed previously, we believe that Chevy’s engineers are testing both the Corvette Z06 and the ZR1 models concurrently and are using both the Ferrari 458 and the Porsche 911 GT2 RS as benchmarks against the performance C8 Corvette prototypes. But why is Chevy utilizing the Ferrari 458 model which is now twelve years old when Ferrari has already launched two successor models to the 458?
