On Monday, Chevrolet did a surprise photo release by teasing an actual image of the 2023 Corvette Z06 one month ahead of its official reveal. Many have been speculating that perhaps Chevy wanted to give us an advance look at it so that we would have a chance to get used to the new look before the actual reveal. But there might have been another motive in play as well…they didn’t want to get “scooped” by someone as they were showing the cars in public ahead of the reveal.

Time and again we’ve seen examples where rarity doesn’t automatically mean desirable. Take for example this 2021 Corvette Stingray Convertible for sale on AutoTrader.

Outfitted in Accelerate Yellow exterior interior and color-overrided with an Adrenaline Red Napa Leather interior, the Stingray is one of 69 to have the “unique” color combination. That was actually higher than expected after checking the 2021 Corvette Production Statistics.

We’ve been following the epic thread regarding the teased Z06 photo over on the Corvette Forum and the opinions are running the gamut on such a sensitive and subjective topic. The truth of the matter is that we’ve seen this happen previously. People didn’t like the non-pop-up fixed headlights on the C6, and they hated the tail lights on the C7 because they weren’t round. Now it’s the side intake’s exterior trim.

If you are not a fan of the new “wishbone” design of the 2023 Corvette Z06’s side intakes, you will most likely have an alternative choice to make that trim piece nearly disappear. Somebody did a “there, I fixed it post” on the forum to bring you an alternative view with various colored renderings of the 2023 Corvette Z06 with the EFY body-colored exterior trim.

With today’s release of a new teaser photo showing the base model 2023 Corvette Z06, opinions appear to be somewhat mixed on the forums, but I think overall that it was what we were expecting. Well, other than the surprising new side intake trim.

As we’ve been following the next-level driving adventures of Speed Phenom, aka Austin Everett over the last couple of years and know about his interest in the Z06, we checked out his reaction to the new teaser photo which he posted just after Monday’s release.

Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for Sept 26th

Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

It’s been a busy week for the nation’s top Corvette seller as he wraps up the final deliveries of the 2021 model year and begins deliveries of the new 2022 models. Mike will be hosting three classes next week at the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School at Spring Mountain so we are looking forward to seeing his pics from the event on his return.
