Corvette Racing’s Jordan Taylor has been campaigning the C8.R since 2020 and now he’ll be driving a C8 between races around town in this new black Corvette Stingray. Jordan announced the new car Monday afternoon on his social media channels. He says on Twitter:
“New car. New stories. Loving my new Corvette!
Last week, we hit our friends at Car and Driver with some good-natured ribbing after they somehow awarded a slower, less-practical, less-comfortable, and more expensive car, the W, in a comparison test based on an “impartial” points-based scoring system. While we are still scratching our collective head over that one, we have to give credit where credit is due. C&D is still one of if not THE most prominent name in our industry, and they deserve credit for coining a new car category that we didn’t know we needed: The Dad Spec.

Check out the ride this driver of a C8 Corvette Stingray gets after a summer rain shower leaves the highway soaked. Not only did the driver avoid the car in front of him, he was able to stop just before crossing into the far lane just as another car passes by.

The IndyCars are in Iowa this weekend for a doubleheader weekend of races and there is a C8 Corvette Pace Car that will lead the racers to the green flags.
