[ACCIDENT] 1966 Corvette Goes Full Mustang, Takes Out a Porch While Leaving Car Show

If there is one thing that YouTube has taught me is to never, ever, go full Mustang when leaving a car show. We’ve seen too many classic Corvettes crash because their owner hammered the gas for the spectators, and instead of making a cool exit, they go viral because they crashed.

Unfortunately for this 1966 Corvette owner, that’s exactly what happened as he was leaving a car show.

The video was captured by the Nacho Nova YouTube channel who shared the scary video this weekend. In the video, we see the classic Corvette leave the car show and accelerate quickly on a two-lane road, but the car’s traction with the street broke pretty quickly. The driver attempted to compensate, and that sent the Sting Ray Convertible into a yard, taking out part of the stairs and a banister on a residence facing the road.

Unlike other crashes at these kinds of events, we don’t get to see any aftermath of the incident, but the YouTuber made sure to both lead with the crash and then show it again at the very end of the clip.

You can check out the full-send accident here:

Old corvette loses control and takes out someone’s porch. Could’ve been a lot worst but still a shame either way.

  1. He’d fit right in with the immature idiots I enjoy watching leave our local Cars and Children on Saturday mornings.

  2. Oops, probably should have waited for the car to be straight first off and then don’t over correct. A little embarrassing, live and learn.

  3. Ok Robert relax, cars are for fun and showing off so get over it. I suppose you never screwed up before??

  4. Could have easily driven through the slight fishtail if the idiot knew how to drive. Seen it many times, a car gets out of shape and the driver does everything wrong starting with getting on the brakes.

  5. klw. I’ve screwed up more times than I can count in my life but I can honestly say I’ve never screwed up enough to wreck a car.

  6. As a 66′ C2 owner, I hate see these things happen. Gravel on that road; tires not making positive contact and he over corrected. You have got to know what that 4 barrel will do, when you kick it in!!
