Happy Monday, Corvette fans!
At least, we hope your Monday will be better after you have had a chance to check out these beautiful Mid Year Corvettes that attended the 2026 Corvette Invasion show in Bastrop, Texas.
The largest Corvette show in Texas did its job in wrangling a number of C2 Corvettes for the show and after the early Saturday morning load-in, we were pleasantly surprised to see an example from each of the five model years ranging from 1963 to 1967 on display.
In addition to the factory cars, there were a couple of restomods on display with one of them still under construction and only having its driver’s seat installed. Another restomod was paired with an E-Ray as they both matched with a White exterior, red interior, and teal accents on the hood. The other outlier was a pro-mod 1963 Corvette drag racer with a wheelie bar and huge tires under the rear.
Our friend Brad from the MidEngineCorvetteForum.com drove his Sunfire Yellow 1966 Corvette Yellow Coupe from Florida’s panhandle to the Texas show which is some real dedication to do a road trip like that in the heat of the summer with no A/C, but he did have the vent windows open to provide some relief. He says the ride was uneventful and Brad was already looking forward to the two-day trip back home. His Yellow ’66 also get the Best C2 award at the show and it couldn’t have gone to a better owner!
And finally, there was one midyear Corvette at the show parked right at the front door entrance with a new C8 Corvette Grand Sport on each side of it. It was a Superformance ’63 Grand Sport replica painted in the traditional Grand Sport livery. We’ll start the photo collection with it at the top.

My favorite day and now I’m part of it. Thanks Keith for the great pictures.
There were some really nice cars there so I was surprised to win the best C2 award.
C2 Coupes are the best looking Corvettes ever made.
The Superformance Grand Sport replica and C8 Grand Sport are my faves.
Great warm up for Carlisle.
