For years, enthusiasts have begged automakers to bring back the visceral joy of shifting gears — even as modern supercars like the C8 Corvette moved exclusively to dual clutch transmissions. Now the market is finally responding.

Within the past few weeks, two manual style systems have been announced, including one from Rezvani Engineering that could soon be available for the C8 Corvette. And unlike the multimillion-dollar limited production cars offering similar tech, Rezvani’s system is aimed squarely at everyday enthusiasts.

Rezvani Engineering — the technology arm of Rezvani Motors — has unveiled the Rezvani Quick Shift™, a mechanical electronic gated shifter conversion designed for modern DCT supercars. Co engineered with Studio Carrozzi, the system doesn’t replace the factory transmission. Instead, it adds a precision mechanical shifter that electronically commands the DCT, giving drivers the tactile feel of a gated manual without sacrificing the speed of dual clutch performance. The best of both worlds?

The first working prototype debuted online on May 15, and just two months later Ferrari announced its own interpretation for an ultra-exclusive model. Rezvani’s version, however, is fully reversible, far more affordable, and designed for installation on existing customer cars.

Ferris Rezvani, Founder and CEO, summed up the mission:

“Performance numbers have continued to improve year after year, but many enthusiasts feel something has been lost along the way… The Rezvani Quick Shift brings that emotional connection back while preserving the incredible speed of today’s dual clutch transmissions.”

Rather than converting the car to a traditional manual, the Quick Shift adds a mechanical gated shifter that sends electronic commands to the factory DCT. Each shift produces a metallic click reminiscent of classic gated manuals, giving drivers physical confirmation of gear position while the transmission continues to deliver lightning fast, rev matched shifts.

Current applications are for the Ferrari 458, Ferrari 488, and Ferrari F12, but Lamborghini and C8 Corvette ZR1 applications are in development, with Rezvani noting that they’re also working on systems for the broader C8 Corvette range.

Key features:

• Precision mechanical electronic gated shifter
• Retains factory DCT speed and rev matching
• Fully reversible installation
• No permanent transmission modifications
• Preserves factory safety systems and engine management
• Designed for exceptional tactile feedback

The Rezvani Quick Shift is available now for $25,000 through Rezvani Engineering. Installations are performed at their Irvine, California headquarters, with worldwide shipping available for qualified specialists.

As automakers search for ways to reconnect drivers with the emotional side of performance driving, Rezvani’s Quick Shift offers a compelling, accessible solution — bringing back the mechanical feel, audible engagement, and driver involvement many Corvette enthusiasts have missed. 1. Hmmm — no clutch, and in the video the shifter appears to have the look and feel of something that belongs more on a video game console than on a high-end sports car console. Hard to imagine that flicking that little shifter back and forth would come anywhere close to the feel of rowing the gears on a true manual tranmission.
