A Texas Corvette owner’s simple request turned into the kind of moment any car enthusiast can appreciate: a President of the United States signing a factory window sticker for a 2025 Corvette Z06.
Frank Palmer, a lifelong Corvette fan, wrote to President Donald Trump last fall to share the story behind his American made Z06 — a car he registered with the license plate “US BUILT.” His Corvette also happened to be the 47th Z06 produced for 2025 and was built on Sept. 11, 2024, details he found meaningful and worth commemorating.
In his letter, Palmer explained his decades of work supporting the U.S. military and veterans organizations such as Honored Warriors Ranch. He asked if the President would autograph the car’s original $136,790 window sticker, calling the Z06 “a beautiful, powerful, and commanding example of what Americans can produce.”
Palmer wrote that he voted for Trump twice “with conviction and pride,” adding that he would be “deeply honored” if the 47th President would sign the window sticker for his Z06 with a VIN ending in 47.
Months later, Palmer says he received a response on official White House letterhead, dated April 22, 2026. The President thanked him for showcasing American made engineering through his Corvette and appeared to sign both the letter and the enclosed window sticker.
“For over 35 years, you have supported the greatest military in the world through your personal business and enduring commitment to our Nation’s veterans,” Trump wrote in the letter. “America remains strong thanks to hardworking citizens who honor and respect our glorious American Flag and the sacrifices of those who protect the freedoms it represents.”
The President added that he was glad to see Palmer “proudly showcasing what it means to be made in America through your beautiful ‘US Built’ Corvette.”
For a Corvette owner, that’s the kind of moment that lands somewhere between winning a trophy and finding a Holy Grail ‘Vette. A presidential autograph on a factory window sticker is more than memorabilia — it’s a story you tell at every car show for the rest of your life.
Palmer posted photos of the correspondence online on the Corvette C8 Z06, ZR1 & E-Ray group, where reactions ranged from impressed to amused. Many commenters focused on the novelty of the moment:
“This is very cool regardless of which party you side with,” one person wrote.
Others chimed in with their own opinions — as the internet always does — but the heart of the story remained the same: a Corvette owner asked for a signature from the leader of the free world, and he got one.
Whether you’re into politics or not, it’s hard to deny the cool factor of having a President sign something tied to a 670 horsepower American supercar. That’s the kind of crossover between car culture and history that doesn’t happen every day.
