Ordering has Opened Today for the Stars & Steel Limited Edition Corvettes

It’s Corvette order day in the USA for Chevrolet dealers as they get to match up their allocations from last week with customer orders and then send it off to GM’s order system. They also received the constraint list for actual quantities, and we were surprised to see that it was mostly dedicated to the limited edition RPO USA Stars & Steel package. I must say that it was one of the most confusing constraint reports I have ever seen since we’ve been sharing these.

All the dealers we spoke with last week in our quest to gauge allocations had either received Stingrays or nothing, but others out there did seem to get some of the other models, albeit in very low quantities. And if they did receive an allocation for something other than a Stingray, it has to go towards a Stars & Steel order. It sure would have been nice for dealers to know that last week so they could have worked their customer lists instead of it coming in blind today like apparently it did.

One of the reasons for the confusion in today’s report is how GM framed the Stars and Steel packages on the constraints list. Instead of telling dealers what could be ordered, they listed the quantities of the individual models that could be ordered “without the USA Stars & Steel package” as 0, which seems very backwards to us. So below, you will see that only Stingray can be ordered without the Stars & Steel package, but any E-Rays, Z06s, and ZR1 allocations cannot be ordered unless they have the RPO USA package. So yeah, very confusing indeed.

We got the quantities shown from two different dealers which are shown in the sets of parentheses after the option. The first number comes from a tier one national dealer while the second number comes from the constraint report sent to a smaller dealership.

Adding up these quantities, which doesn’t include the ZR1X shows a total of 93 Stingrays, 10 E-Rays, 11 Z06s, and 20 ZR1s for a total of 134. There could be more out there, but it looks to us as GM has split the 250 planned Stars & Steel orders into two with half available this order cycle and the other half being allocated in two weeks for the final order cycle of the 2026 model year.
