Wide fenders, Greenwood attitude, and a small block rumble — this 1980 Corvette project car has all the raw ingredients a C3 Corvette fan could want, and it’s finally up for grabs.

The widebody time capsule, listed on Facebook Marketplace out of Twin Falls, Idaho, is the product of nearly two decades of tinkering, upgrading, and dreaming. The seller says her husband poured three times the asking price into the car over the years, which explains why the $10,000 tag is firm.

“Please don’t offer less,” she writes. “He has put three times that much into it.”

Some buyers may hesitate at that number, especially once they peek inside. The Recaro seats and carpeting are well past their prime, the console and dash pad need attention, and the interior as a whole is ready for a full refresh. The door panels appear serviceable, but the rest will require a patient hand.

“My husband was going to put in a new interior,” she says, “but never got around to it.”

Mechanically, though, the car is in far better shape. It sports all new brakes, new front tires, and a replacement 350 small block paired with a three speed automatic. The original engine is long gone, but the current setup reportedly runs and drives fine. Even better, the headlights and wipers work — two items that often fail on aging C3s.

But the real star of the show is the bodywork. The Corvette wears what appears to be a well executed Eckler’s style Greenwood widebody kit, giving it the kind of stance that stops conversations at car shows. Before it can shine, the next owner will need to tackle some bodywork and paint, but the bones are there for a striking finished product.
