The world’s largest collector car auction kicks off early next month. Mecum Kissimmee 2026 takes place January 6th – 18th at the Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida. Mecum expects 4,500 cars at their annual kickoff to the January auction frenzy.
That massive docket is as impressive as ever featuring the most desirable collector cars from every corner of the hobby. The overall main attraction is the only white 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO which could set a record for the most expensive car ever sold at public auction. Add to that a couple of Ford GT40’s, Shelby Cobra’s, a 1971 Hemi Cuda convertible, prewar classics, and you get the picture.
The Corvette portion of the docket is equally impression. As we go to press, we see 259 Corvettes already consigned to the docket and we expect many more before the first gavel drops next month. All 8 Corvette generations are represented, and the cars range from projects, to drivers, to impeccably restored show cars.
And, as you’d expect, the Corvette docket contains some of the most sought-after cars out there. Bidders can choose from 4 L88’s, 2 LS6’s, 2 1963 Z06’s, the first 1957 airbox car, multiple fuelies, and countless big blocks. The rarest of the rare always show up in Kissimmee.
Here’s how the Corvette docket currently breaks down:
More Corvettes are being added to the docket every day so these numbers will change. However, as has been the case, the early generations make up the bulk of the docket with midyears (built between 1963 and 1967) making up nearly half of all the Corvette consignments.
