[VIDEO] 'That Dude in Blue' Drives a Modified 2025 Corvette ZR1


David from the “ThatDudeInBlue” YouTube Channel takes out the 2025 Corvette ZR1 owned by Mike at StreetSpeed717 and does a very good review with it. Like some other first drives we’ve witnessed, this reviewer has his mind blown over the sheer power that the ZR1 produces.

The noise this ZR1 makes is incredible. Mike has recently modified his car with the a new titanium exhaust system from FabSpeed, and it’s so much louder than the stock exhaust.

Despite the car’s ferocious power, David still finds it to be very user friendly and it has exceeded his expectations. The ZR1 truly deserves all the hype it receives, and he calls it the car that is destroying the American sports car market.

Thanks to ‪@StreetSpeed717‬ I had the incredible opportunity to drive the absolutely diabolical 2025 Corvette ZR1. The Corvette ZR1 is a hot topic due to it just broke the American production car record lap time at the Nürburgring only a few days ago. With the ZR1 and ZR1X making over 1000HP and engineers piloting them to a 6:50 and 6:49 lap time – it’s hard to argue how incredible this car on paper is. However, what’s it like on the street? Is it even usable? Let’s talk about it in today’s review.

  1. Can’t wait to see that car jump over the creek. Actually 717 dude got in trouble with the PA DNR for messing with a creek

  2. Well, to be meaningful, the only “modifications” I’d be interested in are:
    1) Incorporation of a computer-controlled, pneumatic/hydraulic suspension system that can allow the ZR1 ‘Vette to go around a 300-ft skid pad at 1.20 g’s;
    2) Re-engineered front end to improve aerodynamics and avoid the “Wall-of-Air” syndrome that gobbles up so much HP;
    3) Move the engine forward more and put the gas tank in the front, to get closer to a 50/50 weight distribution, like the C7, C6, and C5 generations.
    4) Produce laminar flow over the back window and engine hood region to allow a smaller wing to be effective; avoid the cantilever effect that unweights the front wheels; and reduce drag.
    Then maybe, just maybe, it can go around the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6:30 minutes; beat the MB AMG One; and get off this dumb dragster kick! (^_^)..
