Corvettes for Sale: Supercharged 2014 Corvette Callaway SC627 Coupe on Bring a Trailer

A casual glance at this 2014 Corvette coupe would leave most casual observers thinking it’s just an ordinary C7 Stingray.

But a closer look reveals that this car has actually been upgraded with a Callaway SC627 performance package that results in the horsepower climbing to nearly as much as the factory Z06’s 650. Indeed, after Callaway installed a TVS2300 supercharger, three-element intercooler, high-flow intake system, and carbon-fiber engine covers with SC627 badging, the 6.2-liter LT1 V8 now pumps out an impressive 627 horsepower and 610 lb-ft of torque. Mated with a seven-speed manual transmission, this Corvette should be a blast to drive.

Now, though, the sixth owner of this car, after a 2023 purchase, has decided to say good-bye to it on Bring a Trailer, where this black-on-black upgraded Stingray has just gone on the market. With five days left in the auction, the high bid is $20,000.

Unfortunately, the presentation of this Corvette leaves a bit to be desired. Even though the odometer shows only 18,000 miles, in the listing photos, the black paint shows several scratches, chips, and swirl marks scattered over the body, and even worse, the Carfax shows an accident in 2020 when “minor” damage was reported to the rear end – perhaps a simple crash backing up or a tailgater got too close.

Outfitted nicely from the factory as a Z51 2LT model, the car includes all the goodies that come with those two packages, things like upgraded suspension with stiffer springs and larger sway bars, wider wheels, a cooler for the electronic limited-slip differential, head-up display, heated and ventilated seats, and upgraded Bose sound system.

Fortunately, the car appears to have been maintained well by the six owners, with 27 service records showing up on the Carfax. Still, the condition of the black paint leaves us wanting for more; do those scratches and chips bother you, too, or are we just being OCD?

  1. No that’s not being OCD at all over all the paint flaws. This would be a very desirable nice Corvette if it had excellent condition paint.
