If you steal a Corvette and then try to get away from authorities, this new viral video painfully shows exactly what can happen to you.
It all started around 9:49 p.m. on December 7, 2024, when West Memphis Police Department officers began chasing an Arctic White C7 Corvette, reaching speeds of more than 100 mph. Arkansas State Troopers soon spot the Corvette and join in the pursuit.
As the Corvette tries to weave in and out of traffic with the cops close behind, authorities finally succeed in boxing the car in and performing a PIT maneuver that sends the Stingray crashing into the side of an 18-wheeler before spinning to a stop in the right lane of Interstate 40.
Video also shows the aftermath of the chase from several angles, with the driver being ordered multiple times by the cops to show his hands and get out of the car. It’s unclear why he doesn’t listen to those commands, and we can’t tell from the video if maybe one of the patrol cars is too close to the Corvette to allow him to just open the door. Regardless, an officer finally breaks out the driver’s side window as the commands continue to exit the car.
As he continues to refuse, despite being told the K9 unit would be loosed on him, K9 Ghost begins to bite the suspect on the arm, causing him to continue his constant and very annoying screaming that’s been going on throughout much of the attempted extrication. Finally, troopers manage to pull him out through the window.
It turns out that the Corvette had been stolen, and the suspect is subsequently charged with felony fleeing, possession of cocaine, refusal to submit to arrest, among other charges.

If your Corvette gets stolen and the police total it stopping it, does your insurance cost take a hit because of the resulting claim to replace it?
Dumb azz – fafo what happens when you steal a car.
I feel sad for the dog
I feel badly for the guy who’s Corvette was stolen.
Barbaric maneuver….
Get your ass out! Show me your fuckin’ hands! Gotta love the Arkansas State Troopers. They don’t play and they don’t take no shit off anybody!!!
Why a high speed chase? Seems awfully dangerous and risky to other drivers when all they need to do is contact Onstar to track the car and disable it, right? I guess that wouldn’t be very macho, though, and not nearly as exciting for the cops.
These cops were out of control. So many people should not be endangered when only a Vette is at stake. They would do better ticketing slow drivers in the left lane.
The IACP found that only 9% of police chases were directly linked to violent crimes. In their analysis 42.3% of pursuits were due to traffic violations, 18% due to a suspected stolen vehicle and 15% based on a suspected intoxicated driver. The vast majority of police pursuits therefore involves nonviolent suspects.
Note: International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).
Many thanks,
